5 Keys to Renting a Child-Friendly Apartment
by Caleb Bartlett
It can feel like an impossible task trying to find the perfect apartment. When you are on the hunt for the perfect place for you and your family, it is important to look for more than just a place with enough room. Here are a few tips when renting with children:
- Amenities. Amenities can make all the difference when raising children. Communities with pools can provide hours of fun for the kids, especially in the times of the year when school is out.
- Potential Hazards. It may seem obvious, but avoiding as many hazards as possible will make raising children much less painful. Living on the first floor will make those busy mornings a little easier to manage.
- School Proximity. Living within a few miles of a good school will allow older kids to walk to school and will save you hours of commuting. Having a close trust worthy day care will provide a peace of mind that is worth more than money.
- A Safe Community. Knowing that the community is safe will allow your children to enjoy the Neighborhood and all of its amenities.
- Consider Renting a Garage. Having any extra storage space will go a long way when having children. Being able to hide away strollers and old toys will do wonders for the living space.
