Today, Nolan Real Estate Services will honor their commitment to “Give Differently” by participating in multiple volunteer projects around the country for their NRED Cares Day! The company’s 268 employees will contribute more than 2,144 combined hours of volunteer service in local communities across Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, and Texas. Volunteer projects for this year’s program will align with Nolan’s corporate mission of “Putting People First” and making community service and involvement a core part of their culture. Since 2016, the entire company has closed its doors on the third Thursday of September and allowed all employees, including the team members at all 21 apartment community locations nationwide, to volunteer at the non-profit organization of their choice.
"This is my second year participating in NRED Cares Day. What is most memorable to me is the opportunity to work alongside my peers and know that today we are giving back and making a real difference in our communities...today we are helping individuals, seniors, children and even animals all over, and I'm both humbled and proud to be a part of this special day,"stated NRED employee Caleb Bartlett.
This year’s NRED Cares Day volunteer program will provide support to following organizations:

Springfield, IL Area: Ronald McDonald House

Kansas City Area: City of Roeland Park, Great Plains SPCA, Greater Humane Society of Kansas City, Kansas City Community Kitchen and Ronald McDonald House

Dayton, OH Area: Friendship Animal Protective League, City of Dayton, Parks and Conservation, Fiver Rivers Metro Parks and Hannah’s Treasure Chest

Conroe, TX Area: Meals on Wheels

Houston, TX Area: Houston Food Bank, Discovery Green, Loaves and Fishes Soup

Kitchen, Family Promise of Clear Creek, SBP: Disaster Resilience and Recovery, and Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM)

Pflugerville, TX Area: Lunches with Love - Ronald McDonald House

Sugar Land, TX Area: 2nd Mile Mission Center
In addition to this company-wide volunteer day (NRED Cares Day), Nolan employees are empowered to choose two additional paid days off during the year to volunteer at an organization of their choice, increasing the estimated hours volunteered to 6,500 company-wide! “NRED Cares Day was inspired by the good will of our employee, Danielle Grater, and we are proud to support every employee’s desire to make a difference in their community,” said NRED President, Kyle Scott.
