Property Management

Property Management is the core of NRED's business. Throughout its 33 years its professional staff has leased and managed all types of real estate assets. The firm has consistently been on the leading edge of technology implementing electronic property management, yield management and expense controller systems at both the property and home office level. Clients benefit from the “ownership” mentality at NRED that leverages professional, value-added management capabilities with an attention to detail and service to the resident and guests.

In collaboration with our partners, our Senior Management Team works hard to align operations, marketing, finance, acquisitions and asset management for optimal growth and high-ROI results for our investors. At Nolan Real Estate, we believe our employees are our greatest asset. Our management teams have fully embraced the idea that management's greatest role is to unlock the human potential in every team and individual team member.


Paul Fingersh

Paul has been associated with the company since 1993 and founded KC Venture Group, LLC in 1994. KCVG and affiliates has purchased more than 20,000 apartment units and currently owns over 7,000 units representing over $700 million in multifamily assets. He also serves as CEO of NRES Holdings LLC, its property holding company. Prior to that, Mr. Fingersh was an executive with The O'Connor Group, a New York City-based real estate pension fund advisor involved in the underwriting, acquisition and sale of over $1 billion of diversified real estate investments. He earned a BA from Swarthmore College and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Kyle Scott

Kyle Scott, President of Nolan Real Estate Services, Inc., has been with the company for over 25 years. Prior to joining the company he was a workout specialist in the hotel industry and has a BS from Oklahoma State University.

Director of Acquisitions

Peter Engelman

Peter Engelman has been with the company for 30 years. As the Executive Vice President of NRES Holdings and Director of Acquisitions of KCVG, Mr. Engelman is responsible for the acquisition of almost $1 billion of multi-family assets. Prior to that, he was responsible for the asset management of two pools of RTC real estate assets in excess of $500 million for KCVG’s predecessor company. He has an MBA from Rockhurst University.

Chief Operating Officer

Joe McConnell

Joe McConnell, COO, has been with the company since 2018. Joe is responsible for overseeing all operations of the company including Sales & Marketing, HR, IT and Analytics. He has been instrumental in developing a world class operational discipline that has enabled the company to scale. Prior to joining NRES, Joe led operations and strategy for LinkedIn's Marketing Solutions Business and was part of McKinsey's operations practice in San Francisco. He received his MBA from the Stanford GSB as an Arjay Miller Scholar and his BSE in Operations, Research & Financial Engineering from Princeton, Summa Cum Laude.

VP of Operations

Cheryl Ducote

Cheryl Ducote, Vice President of Operations, has been with the company since 2005. Cheryl is responsible for the overall financial performance of the entire portfolio, including daily operations and asset repositioning. She has been instrumental in developing NRES's innovative SMT-Sales, Marketing and Training team to include the launch of a new corporate culture and the integration of social media marketing into daily operations at the property/site level. Prior to joining NRES, Cheryl was vice president of operations for a company where she supervised a portfolio of 13,000 units and managed 300+ employees.

VP of Construction Services

Andy Evans

Andy Evans joined Nolan Real Estate in the Spring of 2015 as the new Vice President of Construction Services. Andy has spent the majority of his career involved in the Engineering and Construction of large commercial and industrial projects. During this time, Andy managed teams of engineers and construction project managers on various capital improvement projects that ranged in size from a few thousand dollars to over $250 Million. Specific areas of expertise include: construction management, contract management, contract negotiations, project planning, project schedules, project budgets/pro-formas, and engineering.

Andy has direct accountability for project delivery and oversees construction planning, contracting and execution for all major capital, rehabilitation and renovation while providing leadership oversight and support to associated programs. Andy will be located in Kansas City but will be seen plenty out in the field partnering with the onsite operations staff.

VP of Acquisitions

Neal Higgins

Neal brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate to her position as Vice President of Acquisitions for KC Venture Group. Having joined the firm in 2016, she specializes in real estate transactions and asset management, having purchased nearly a Billion in multifamily and retail assets for several private equity firms over her career. She has overseen the financial performance of several large multifamily portfolios for clients and in-house accounts to ensure value appreciation and maximization of operational performance. She has deep knowledge of Texas and Midwest markets, along with Arizona and Florida.

She is an expert in improving property performance, risk management, as well as, purchasing opportunist real estate investments. Neal earned a Master’s Degree from the UCLA School of Architecture and Urban Planning; she holds a real estate license, and she is a Certified Property Manager (CPM).

Bill Porter

With over 18 years of property acquisition experience, Bill has developed a vast network of Real Estate professionals that have proved instrumental in finding and closing on both off market and marketed properties. Over these 18 years of experience he has been responsible for over $3 billion of multifamily acquisitions.

Director of Human Resources

Meredith Reese

Meredith has been with the company since 2009. She has earned her certification from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP) and is currently working on her certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (SPHR) She has led the Training Department for NRED for five years and now leads the Human Resources Department where she oversees our company culture, recruiting and on-boarding process for new hires, developed an on-going education program for employees, instituted the "People First" annual review, maintains our Employee handbook, and oversees employee engagement efforts.
